Havesino Film High-Speed Slitting Machine Achieves 15mm Accuracy and Wins New Orders from Costa Rica

In January 2025, we received an inquiry from a customer in Costa Rica through our official website. The customer required a machine capable of slitting 15mm wide PS and PP films. Based on their specifications and budget, we initially recommended our CP-S1200C center-winding slitting machine. However, the project seems to have been delayed by their team.

In April 2025, the customer reached out again, informing us that the project had resumed with updated slitting requirements. Their team emphasized the need for 15mm precision slitting, which posed a technical challenge for standard slitting machines. Typically, most packaging slitters have a minimum slitting width of 20-40mm, making it difficult to stably achieve 15mm, especially in terms of tension control.

With over 20 years of expertise in the film slitting industry, Havesino quickly proposed two tailored solutions:

 Option 1: Mid-range center-winding slitter
A cost-effective model but with limitations in handling 15mm narrow slitting, particularly in maintaining tension control and stability.

Option 2: High-end HN1300 film slitter
Featuring a custom circular knife system, this machine ensures precise 15mm slitting while maintaining high-speed operation. It can handle materials up to 600 microns thick and incorporates an advanced tension control system.

The customer was highly impressed by our expertise and prioritized slitting accuracy and material adaptability. After a detailed evaluation of Option 2, they requested a demonstration video and a quotation.

Since the HN1300 is one of our best-selling and most stable models, we provided them with a competitive offer. The customer confirmed that they would proceed with the order if we successfully demonstrated 15mm slitting of PS and PP films.

Precision Slitting Test On the same day, our engineers conducted a live test. As the 15mm custom round knife holder had not yet arrived, we temporarily used a razor knife holder for the trial. The results were outstanding—

Initially, the customer was uncertain whether 15mm precision slitting was feasible. However, after reviewing the test results, they were convinced that the HN1300 fully met their production requirements. The next day, they proceeded with a 40% deposit to initiate production and planned to send additional PS and PP film samples for further testing before shipment.

In addition to their satisfaction with Havesino's technical strength and product reliability, the customer expressed interest in becoming our regional reference partner in Latin America. They also extended an invitation for potential buyers to visit their factory and observe the HN1300 in full operation.

Delivery & Customer Expectations
The machine is scheduled to be shipped by the end of May, and the customer is eagerly anticipating its arrival. They have also committed to sharing operational feedback videos post-installation.
