Succesful case for cutting machine with Turkey customer

 

On August 19, 2024, my company Havesino received an email from a customer from Turkey. In the email, the customer mentioned that he was a manufacturer of absorbent pads, and he saw our A4 sheeter slitting machine on Alibaba and thought this machine was the type he wanted. But unfortunately, our company leaders went to the exhibition at that time, and the email was automatically filtered into the trash by the system. So, this email stayed in the trash for a month until it was discovered on September 20.

A week later, I finally contacted this customer. After a brief communication, I knew the material the customer wanted to cut, but to be on the safe side, I still browsed the customer's website (www.icepackmnm.com) and roughly understood what his material looked like. Therefore, based on the existing parameter information, I recommended our 800MM slitting machine to him. This machine has a mid-range version and a high-end version, and it is one of our latest developed products. Compared with the old machine, it has a higher degree of automation and an automatic lifting and conveying platform, which can better convey the final product. Of course, the price is naturally different for different configurations. Therefore, at the request of the customer, during the National Day holiday, I contacted the factory in the middle of the night to get the parameters and configuration information of the two machines, and made quotations for the mid-range and high-end versions and sent them to the customer.

On October 8, I received a reply from the customer. In his email, he said that the mid-range version of the cutting machine currently meets his needs, but he also raised a question: How should this machine count the cut products? Can it count every 50 pieces like his existing machine? The engineers discussed these two questions and agreed that our machine can meet the customer's requirements.

To be honest, this customer is really a serious and kind person. I would like to call him a "treasure customer." Because although the model has been determined, there are still some details that have not been finalized. Therefore, whenever I ask him some questions or confirm some details, he always cooperates with my work, which makes our communication process very smooth. In this way, we have kept in touch and share interesting things in life from time to time. Therefore, when the customer asked if I could give him a small discount, I readily agreed to give him a 3% discount and also gave him some blades. Then, I also told him that our company would attend a packaging exhibition held in Istanbul, Turkey from October 23rd to 26th. And I sincerely invited him to visit our booth.

On October 18th, I sent the PI to the customer. On October 23rd, we received the advance payment, and then I arranged for the factory to start production.
